14‑inch MacBook Pro upgraded with M5 chip
On 14th October, Apple’s marketing VP Greg Joswiak teased “Mmmmm… something powerful is coming” from his X account, with a video showing a brief glimpse of the MacBook Pro. The next day, Newsroom dropped the goods.

“It hasn’t even reached mass production yet,” they said. Yet here we are, with an all new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered with the M5 chip, available from 22nd October 2025. And with a lot more speed, power, and capability for the same starting price as the previous generation, it’s an upgrade not to be ignored.
iPad Pro upgraded with M5 chip
Here’s one we did see coming. The M5 iPad Pro is powered by the next generation of Apple silicon, bringing enhanced versatility, creativity and productivity into the hands of its users. John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering confirms this next-gen iPad Pro brings “a huge leap in AI performance and a big boost in graphics, superfast wireless connectivity, and game-changing iPadOS 26 features, it pushes the boundaries of what iPad can do yet again.”
Vision Pro upgraded with M5 chip
Apple’s third product release of this October cluster was another expected drop. The new Vision Pro gets the M5 chip treatment as well as new Dual Knit Band. The result? Improved performance, display rendering, battery life, and comfort – with visionOS 26, new spatial apps and Apple Immersive content.
